Clare Smyth trashes restaurant critic

Surely there can be few ventures to induce both anxiety and fear to the extent of a new restaurant opening. Clare Smyth  is more than one of Britain’s greatest chefs, having helmed restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Michelin Three Star, for so many years she can justifiably claim to be one of the world’s greatest chefs. Michel Troisgros Named World’s Best Chef

It has been an extremely good week for Michel Troisgros.  He has just been named the world’s best chef in the annual top 100 ranking. In case you didn’t know Michel has more than an average amount of pressure and expectation weighing down on his shoulders.

Aiden Byrne Head Chef At Manchester’s Highest Restaurant

Aiden Byrne is perhaps best known in these parts (these parts being Ireland) for having won a Michelin star while head chef at The Commons Restaurant  in Dublin. Prior to this Aidan had also picked. up serious experience while working for Conrad Gallagher at Peacock  Alley and Paul Rankin at Roscoffs in Belfast.

Alas it would appear that Aiden has been struck with Manchester’s Michelin star jinks.
