Description
This is one of the more desirable and, at the same time, challenging Sous Chef jobs likely to come on the market in Co. Clare in what remains of 2014. Therefore unless you're prepared to wait, probably quite a while, now is the time to jump on this one. To be clear this is a "Second Chef" role so you'll be working very closely with the Head Chef and deputising in their absence, so in addition to excellent culinary skills you'll need to have top notch kitchen management skills too.
The job is desirable because, depending on how much experience you bring to the table, it's very well paid for its location, it's in a good address and the standards are high. It's challenging for most of the same reasons with the additional factor of having to master both banqueting and a very good dining room.
That's why our client is looking for a Sous Chef with a broad range of experiences, from restaurants to brasseries to hotels, in category leading establishments. They're correct in seeking this type of chef because without that type of background it's unlikely you'll make a success of this position; while if this does describe you then you'll almost certainly succeed right here.
