We are looking for a Sous Chef with ideas, drive, and ambition for our "food first" County Cork resort hotel. Chefs with experience of 2 AA Rosettes, or above, will are preferred by our client, who insists all applicants have at least one year at Sous Chef level.
This is a rare opportunity for you to take on a leadership role within a highly motivated and fantastic team. It has been a year of significant investment in the kitchen infrastructure, so the successful applicant has an excellent chance of succeeding.
While you may be required to run sections occasionally, pastry knowledge is not required. However, you must be exceptionally knowledgeable when it comes to sauce, fish, and grilling. You must also know the difference between a forequarter of beef and a hindquarter of venison.
The Head Chef handles most of the paperwork, but you'll need to be on top of this as well since you'll be filling in during their absence.
