We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our client's innovative and expanding plant-based food company as a New Product Development (NPD) Chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating great-tasting plant-based food that focuses on meat alternatives and plant-forward products across retail, food service, and DTC channels.
The role involves improving the taste profile of existing recipes, developing new on-trend recipes, and leading the development of a range of plant-forward ready meals. The candidate will also work with the commercial team to identify customer and consumer needs and support the company's revenue ambitions.
Our client's unique range of products is made using breakthrough proprietary technology, creating novel structured proteins from a variety of plant sources. They are looking for a passionate candidate who can use their creativity to develop new products that appeal to their target consumers: millennial and Gen Z.
The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the team, present product ranges at key consumer and trade events globally, and write menus for key customers to support the type of restaurant, such as QSR, hotels, and contract catering.
Although NPD experience is highly desirable, we will also seriously consider experienced chefs without NPD experience who are looking to move into a more sociable daytime role with weekends off. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plant-based food and be able to learn on the job.
