We are recruiting a Banquet Chef on behalf of an award-winning country house hotel in Co Wicklow. Our client is looking for a banquet chef with a minimum of five years experience working as a chef of which at least 18 months must have been spent working exclusively on banquets and events. Such hotel experience as you might have will need to be at four stars and above.
This is a senior supervisory role at Sous Chef level, therefore the successful candidate must be able to lead and inspire more junior members of the team while working closely in collaboration with the Executive Head Chef. This banquet kitchen at peak output can handle two weddings, and up to 2 other smaller rooms for drinks and canapes, so to be successful in this role means being able to handle volume, cope with bottlenecks, while delivering exceptional food to company standards.
