Fancy this Sous Chef Job in Waterford? It's in a lovely Hotel which places a very strong emphasis on food using local produce and focusing on seasonality. You'll be working in a small team and collaborating very closely with a talented Head Chef who boasts an excellent culinary pedigree.
He's looking for a Sous Chef with high quality restaurant experience first and hotel experience second, someone with the versatility to smoothly move between the different kitchen sections and who is reasonably comfortable in the pastry section too. You'll also have to have the ability to take responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef.
The focus in this kitchen is very much on the dining room although there is also a small function business too, so you will need some experience of catering for small functions and banquets too.
In terms of the salary there is a reasonably wide spread between the lowest and highest salary quoted. This is because the Head Chef wants the flexibility to consider promising Chef De Parties who are ready to make the step up to Sous Chef as well as Chefs who've already gained experience at the level of Sous Chef.
