Objectives of the job
To oversee all food production areas of the hotel, working with the kitchen team to ensure menus and food are prepared and presented according to agreed standards. Develop employees in a structured manner, offer customers the best value for their money, and achieve budget targets.
Establish and implement standards of excellence within the hotel's food production areas, ensuring services are of the highest 4-star quality, and training all employees in how to provide them.
If selected, the candidate will:
- Have experience managing a small team as a head or sous chef in a busy kitchen
- Ability to motivate and lead others with excellent communication and people skills
- HACCP knowledge is essential
- Be effective at controlling stock, time management, and rostering
- Deliver high-quality menus and offer excellent traditional cooking while introducing new trends to the menu
