Description
This is a Chef de Partie job in a five star property in County Waterford, Ireland which is especially well suited to those chefs coming from a strong restaurant background.
Our client is an upmarket boutique hotel whose restaurant competes with Ireland's very best elite kitchens. This is a place where even the residents need to book in advance to be guaranteed a table.
Aside from the occasional room service order working in this boutique hotel is very similar to working in a very successful 3 Rosette of Michelin Star restaurant.
The cuisine here is very cutting edge with an emphasis on local food sourcing, sustainability and provenance. The Head Chef of the restaurant offers a contemporary twist on this, sourcing the best ingredients from Ireland and incorporating this with a passion for foraging.
This kitchen enjoys a low staff turnover and while the chef you will replace is not due to leave for another few weeks, our client is eager to recruit prior to the peak season to allow for a very thorough and smooth handover period.
Though some experience in hotel kitchens is desired, what our client really seeks from their new Chef de Partie is experience gained in very high-quality restaurant kitchens. A guideline would be 2 AA Rosettes and above and/or Michelin Bib Gourmand.
Our client has prepared a strong package for you.
Although this position isn't urgent, as we've already mentioned, our client is eager to find a chef to start as soon as possible, so we recommend applying immediately.
